There was a time, the beginning of 20th century when the children from very few houses were going to school off from their living place. There were no schools nearby Ashok Nagar. As more and more parents wishing their children to go to school, a benevolent person Mr P. Shankarnarayanappayya started a school in his own house in Hoigebail Ashok Nagar during the year 1928. When the place asto accommodate more children was not enough, a philanthropist Mr. Ugrani Krishnayya donated his 10 cents of land for the school building. With the help of donors a new tiled roof school building was constructed and eventually changed to a RCC building.

Ashoknagar English medium school was established in the year 2000 with the intention of providing value added and high standard education at minimum cost and expenses to the economically backward class as well as financially weak section of the nearby locality deserved students. So far by fulfilling our ambition of providing value added education to the needy students we have succeeded in our efforts and we are providing the same to all the deserved candidates . We have planned to implement different progressive methods including computer education to the children adopting different methods of studies, improving sports facilities coupled with advanced cultural and environmental teaching with extra curricular activities along with the syllabus study as per the government guidelines .
